I've experienced the richness and sadness of two cultures-African American and Native American. My Native American culture taught me to respect nature and placed great emphasis on the harmony of mind, body and spirit. The key to creative meditation is to find a Special Place in your mind, away from the flurry of disharmonious thought; and to find stillness and peace in your special place. My Special Place is the Waterfalls, as seen to the left. Click on the image to follow me on this journey and then create your own meditative thoughts with pictures, places or images within your mind's eye. First take three deep breath, inhalation through your nostrils and exhaling out your mouth. Secondly, look at the picture for 30 seconds, and close your eyes. Thirdly, listen to the sounds of the waterfalls, and let your mind wander to your special place. Finally, be creative at your special place and have fun. If there's malalignment of your mind, body and spirit this exercise will bring you back in focus.
Dr. Pullman integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
